Since 2012, Pacifica has successfully provided vital staff augmentation and various services to enhance the City of El Monte’s Public Works Department. With a Pacifica personnel as the Interim Public Works Director, Pacifica managed an annual Capital Improvement Project Budget over $50 million. Our staff was also responsible for overseeing five operating divisions in the areas of Building, Engineering, Public Works Maintenance, Transportation Services, and Environmental Services.
Pacifica provided additional staff augmentation in the positions of City Engineer, Utility Engineer, and Senior Public Works Deputy Inspector. The goal was to assist the City in maintaining the physical and environmental infrastructure systems, and private development projects. Areas of service include but are not limited to streets, streetlights and traffic signals, the urban forest, sidewalks and pathways, parks, sewers and storm drains, the drinking water system, public buildings, solid waste collection, the City’s public transportation services, and capital project delivery.
Pacifica has also consistently provided Professional Engineering, Construction Management, Inspection, Surveying, Plan and Map Checking, and Labor Compliance Services to the City of El Monte.
Our experience with this client spans a wide range of other services. We have provided Construction Management, Inspection, Materials, and Labor Compliance Services for a Local Street Asphalt Rubber Aggregate Member (ARAM) Pavement Resurfacing Pilot Project. Beyond this activity, Pacifica has also performed Project Research, Topographic Survey, Public Street Improvement Plans, Specifications, Construction Management, Legal Descriptions and Plats, and Cost Estimates for the Gibson and Rose Improvement Project to provide a safe route for Shirpser Elementary School to the recently renovated Mariposa Park.
