Safe Routes to Schools Program – El Monte, CA

Under an As-Needed Construction Management contract, Pacifica managed programming, design, and execution of the project funded by a State-funded Safe Routes to School grant to the City of El Monte. The project scope comprised approximately $2.9 M in pedestrian improvements adjacent to 27 elementary schools throughout the city.

Improvements included the construction of new sidewalk, ADA-compliant ramps, bulb-outs, enhancing driveway aprons, stormwater mitigation elements, curb and gutter improvements, high visibility crosswalk markings, raised crosswalks, flashing stop signs and stop bars, and pedestrian enhanced signs.
