Remedial Action Plan Implementation for the El Monte Gateway, Parcel 3 – El Monte, CA

The 15-acre El Monte Gateway property was originally farm land on the San Gabriel River flood plan. From the 1930s to 1959, the site was used as a “Burn Dump.” Beginning in the 1960s, the City of El Monte began using the site as a City Maintenance Yard. As a consequence of this previous usage, the site was found to be contaminated with volatile organic chemicals and metals. This project encompassed site cleanup, remediation and grading of Parcel 3.

Pacifica’s team provided construction management, inspections, CDBG compliance monitoring and public/community outreach on this project.
