Eastside Eddie Heredia Boxing Club – Los Angeles, CA
A former fire station, Eastside Boxing Club was formed in recognition of a need for constructive and stimulating activities in the East Los Angeles area. It now bears the name of Eddie Heredia in memory of the Club’s first champion who died of leukemia at age 17. A member of this club was on the United States Olympic Boxing Team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
The renovation of this historically significant structure included interior and exterior renovation and upgrades to the 4,800 sf building, utility infrastructure upgrades, new HVAC, room reconfiguration, ADA compliance and updated finishes. The project also included parking. Pacifica provided design and construction management and closeout support, acting as an Owner’s Representative for the Los Angeles County Internal Services Department.
