Construction of cement detention pond and gravel covered walkway outside Valley College Student Center Building

This project diverted storm water from the campus streets to an underground detention basin, to the bio-retention landscape areas on the side of the streets, and to site bio-retention ponds. The project was designed to allow the site to absorb storm run-off from the streets and other concrete areas on campus to the bio-retention ponds and the landscape. Realignment of site elevations meant that the sidewalks had to be re-constructed to maintain ADA requirements, new curb and gutters were placed, new street asphalt was laid, and a new concrete fire lane was placed.

Pacifica provided the QA/QC inspection oversight and program management oversight of the construction and project managers.
