Los Angeles Trade-Technical College has been training culinary students for 93 years; the longest continuous college-based culinary arts program in the country. The culinary arts and baking programs serve 800 students each semester.

In order to support this award-winning program, LA Trade-Tech built a new state-of-the-art 71,102 sf Culinary Arts building designed with stadium-style classrooms and real-life learning environment laboratories. The building includes cooking labs, demonstration classrooms, kitchens, multi-purpose dining room, offices, a lounge and a servery. Exterior improvements include a loading dock, solar power panels, an artificial turf activity field, roof-top herb garden, and plaza. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.
