SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Today, the California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) Board of Directors Chair Dan Richard issued the following statements regarding the appointments of Ernest M. Camacho to the Authority’s Board of Directors and the Honorable Jim Beall to an Ex Officio Board position.

“We thank the California Senate for the appointment of Mr. Camacho to the Authority Board of Directors. Mr. Camacho has had a distinguished career in project and construction management, and his wealth of knowledge and experience will be a valuable asset to the Board as we continue to move forward with construction,” said Richard.

“We also thank the California Senate for the appointment of Senator Jim Beall to the Authority Board of Directors as an Ex Officio member. Senator Beall has long been a champion of high-speed rail as well as other transportation and connectivity projects throughout the state. We welcome his valuable input, active involvement, and oversight of the program,” said Richard.

Consolidated Correctional Treatment Facility

As a part of CCTF Partners (a Joint Venture with Jacobs), Pacifica is pleased to announce that we have been selected by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works to provide Project Management/Construction Management Services for the Consolidated Correctional Treatment Facility (CCTF).

Grand Opening Ceremony for Lugo Park’s Soccer Field

Last night, Pacifica was proud to be part of the Grand Opening Ceremony for City of Cudahy’s new soccer field at Lugo Park. The local community will be able to “kick off” the summer with a new state of art FIFA certified soccer field as well as enjoy a refresh of the landscape and walkway improvements. With the help of Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles (LACDC) Community Block Grants (CDBG), County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors Park Funds (Proposition A), City of Cudahy local funds, and Cudahy Youth Foundation this project has finally come to fruition and will serve the community for years to come.

City of Long Beach Convention Center-Performing Arts Center Pedestrian Bridge

Pacifica Services and Ernest Camacho Helps Build Long BeachAfter one month of construction, the Convention-Center Performing Arts Center Pedestrian Bridge project is ready to place several massive rebar cages and columns on Seaside Way. This City of Long Beach project includes the construction of a 605 foot long pedestrian bridge running along East Seaside Way, connecting the Long Beach Convention Center Promenade at the south-west corner of the Salvation Army West Building to the south-west corner of the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center Plaza. The Pedestrian Bridge Project also connects to the Proposed 207 Seaside Way Development via a terrace deck to provide easy access to local residents as well.

Lugo Park Improvements Project in the City of Cudahy

Today marks the beginning of the construction phase for the Lugo Park Improvements Project in the City of Cudahy. This project will involve the reconstruction of the existing sports field into a soccer field with artificial turf for the community and residents to use and enjoy.
